Middle Eastern Favorites: Salads and Pita BreadTell a Friend!

The following dishes are the essence of all that is good. Tabouli is a kind of green salad with parsley as the main ingredient and includes other vegetables and barley. Hummus is an appetizer dip made with garbanzo beans, along with a Tahini base and garlic. These two scrumptious, appetizing dishes actually have a fair amount of protein in them and are high in fiber. Cucumber-Yogurt Salad is a healthy, refreshing side dish. As a special bonus, Mary Shaw will demonstrate how to make a wonderful pita bread (also known as pocket bread). All three dishes and the pita bread will be shared and sampled by the class, and Mary will provide the recipes to take home.

Register early! Space is limited!!

Materials fee of $7 is due to teacher at workshop.

Mary Shaw has worked in the local schools and community for more than 20 years and has been teaching cooking classes for the last five years.
