This program trains students to work directly with a dentist in the treatment area. Students learn to perform documentation, seat patients, pass dental materials and instruments to the dentist, provide patient education, oversee inventory control, and order supplies. The program combines 80 hours of classroom instruction and a 40 hour off-site externship (hours may vary by area) to provide students with a comprehensive learning experience.
